Part of my collection of pastels. These are British-made Unison soft pastels. I also have Sennelier soft pastels (from France) and Schmincke soft pastels (from Germany). Each brand has its individual strengths. For finer detail, I use Conté hard pastels and Derwent pastel pencils. Whether I am using pastels, oils or watercolours, I always use artist-quality, light-fast/archival materials, manufactured with pure pigments. Similarly, the surfaces I paint on, and the materials used for picture framing, are archival quality.
